Glitsa Lite Scent finish is a Swedish conversion varnish hardwood floor finish. This finish is a 1 component finish that is pre-catalyzed and can be re-coated after 48 hours. Glitsa Lite Scent finish has a little less smell hence the name “lite scent”. While being less of a smell that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have great durability. This finish is a favorite among contractors who clients need less of an off-gas and great durability.

Glitsa Lite scent is touch dry in 4-5 hours and ready for an additional coat in 48 hours but only one top coating is recommended or needed. The quicker try period is better than other Glitsa products that need 90 days between coatings. Like many Glitsa products this can be applied with a mop, roller, brush or t-bar. This product is not designed to go over the raw hardwood but should be put over a conversion varnish coating.

One gallon of lite scent can cover 300-400 sq ft depending on application. When abrading the seal coat it is recommended by Glitsa that you use a previously used screen to minimize scratching. When coating with Lite Scent in colder weather the manufacturer recommends warming the house with the heater and then shutting it down before applying.
