Ten Oaks Flooring
Where Durability
Meets Design
Rustic Floor Supply, located in Atlanta, Georgia, proudly features Ten Oaks Flooring, a renowned mill situated in Stewart, Virginia. Ten Oaks offers an exceptional product line, distinguished by its patented six-sided seal, which acts as a comprehensive moisture barrier surrounding the wood. This seal serves to prevent issues such as movement, cracking, and other damage associated with moisture, ensuring the flooring’s long-term durability. Moreover, it reduces acclimation time and contributes to the creation of a more stable floor capable of withstanding seasonal fluctuations. Ten Oaks floors maintain their flatness, and this feature is especially beneficial during installation in new construction homes where other trades may still be at work. It’s also a valuable asset when repairing areas affected by water damage. Furthermore, Ten Oaks solid wood flooring excels in installations over radiant heating systems, thanks to its exceptional stability. The Atlanta location of Rustic Floor Supply takes pride in offering this high-quality flooring solution from Ten Oaks—a mill dedicated to addressing common challenges encountered by installers on job sites.

The Beginning of Ten Oaks Legacy Since 1922
The story of Ten Oaks began in May 1922. At that time, it was known as the Stuart Lumber Company. Four locals started it after seeing potential in the county’s timber. Their names were Flem Ross, Joel Marshall, Larkin Cockram, and A. Leon Powell. For nearly twenty years, they shared leadership and kept the company moving forward.
Today, Ten Oaks is still moving forward with modern facilities and advanced equipment. The company continues to deliver flooring trusted in homes and businesses across the country.

White Oak floor is especially resistant to wear, which makes it perfect for high-traffic spaces. Its neutral color palette also allows it to blend smoothly with a variety of design choices.
Ten Oaks Company History
Ten Oaks has a rich history dating back to May 1922, when it was established as the Stuart Lumber Company by four local visionaries with a desire to tap into the county’s timber resources. In its formative years, the company’s leadership rotated among its four founders.
In 1982, Buddy, who had previously worked at Masonite Corporation, decided to venture out on his own. His first step was to acquire disused strip flooring equipment from Masonite, setting it up along the banks of the Mayo River. In July 1984, he founded the Stuart Flooring Corporation with just one-half of a strip mill manufacturing line.
In 2004, Buddy expanded his enterprise by acquiring the T-George Vaughan Furniture company and its facility located in the Rich Creek Corporate Park in Stuart, Virginia. The facility comprised a 260,000 square-foot building and 34 acres of land, which he intended to use for expanding his hardwood flooring operations. The mill’s name was changed from Stuart Flooring to Ten Oaks, LLC, with a vision to elevate the quality of hardwood flooring.
Over the following 14 years, Ten Oaks experienced steady growth and eventually found itself running out of space in its original Progress Drive location. It also required enhanced raw material processing capabilities to meet the rising production demand. An opportunity arose when Shaw Industries announced plans to close the old Stuart Flooring mill, and Ten Oaks seized the chance to acquire it. With access to this spacious plant, Ten Oaks could expand its solid hardwood flooring product line and provide a broader array of products that catered to customer needs.
With a company as steeped in history as Ten Oaks, Rustic Floor Supply takes immense pride in offering Ten Oaks Hardwood Flooring in Atlanta, Georgia.
