It was groundbreaking in launching an oil free of water and VOCs, setting a new standard in the industry. This hardwax oil, notable for its ability to be applied in just one coat, offers durable and long-lasting protection. Following its introduction, Rubio expanded its range to include a variety of colors, catering to a wide range of preferences.
The company’s origins trace back to 1906 when it was founded as Muylle Falcon LTD, initially starting as a mastic producer. By 1966, Muylle Falcon had grown its presence internationally. Initially focusing on mastic, the 1980s marked a significant shift as the company began developing its product line, moving to Ambachtenstraat at Izegem to facilitate the production of specialized products. During this time, Muylle Falcon dedicated efforts to creating wood preservative products, utilizing molecular binding technology to innovate in wood preservation.
Under the leadership of Benoit Muylle during the company’s second generation, there was a significant pivot towards technology, particularly in converting molecular binding technology for wood preservation.
